These models use a 12 V direct-current supply. They are distinct from the mains-powered versions and retain model-specific lamp and connection references.
Water flows through the chamber around the lamp sleeve. UV exposure treats the water without adding a chemical disinfectant; the rated flow is specific to the stated UV dose.
