Where is a softener installed in a commercial building?
Usually upstream of hot water production and of the technical equipment it protects. Whether cold drinking-water outlets are also softened depends on local rules and on how the building is used.
How is a softener sized for an office building?
Sizing is based on water hardness, peak flow and daily consumption, which depend on occupancy and on the equipment connected. The sizing guide lists the data to collect.
Does the water supply stay available during regeneration?
Yes, with twin-tank or multiplex systems: one column keeps supplying softened water while the other regenerates.
Which information should I send for a building project?
