How the comparison works

TCO = initial investment + number of years × annual costs.

Cost difference = TCO A − TCO B. A positive value means B costs less over the period.

Simple payback = (initial B − initial A) ÷ (annual A − annual B), only when both differences are positive.

This undiscounted model assumes constant annual costs. Inflation, financing and residual value are not included. Results follow your inputs; no saving is assumed or guaranteed.
